Thoảng câu hò đôi lứa

Con sông dài mấy nhánh
Cát trắng bờ quê xưa

Anh cho em mùa xuân
Trẻ nô đùa khắp trời

I give you spring
With its newly blossomed flowers
In the memory of winters past
When the streets were filled with leaves
I wandered through the deserted streets
My sad eyes gazed upon the trees

I give you spring
Spring, with all its abundance
With its fresh leaves unfurling
With its poetry about the world
With its birds chasing the sun
In the smoky haze of dusk

Mother earth's grass grows
Our fields have been green for seasons
Kites soar in the wind outside the dyke
The strains of love songs drift by
The bells of the temple ring in the village
The bright moon shines on the coconut leaves
The long river has many branches
The white sands of the old country

I give you spring
Children play all over
Their joy is unrestrained
Their hands are soft and sweet
The gentle land where the birds sing
The pretty houses stand side by side

I give you spring
The flower-lined streets of the small town
Music fills the air
The love of this country
The poem still stirs
It trembles in the golden light of dawn
