Το καράβι όταν μπάζει
τους καπεταναίους ρώτα
πριν αρχίσει να βουλιάζει
τα ποντίκια φεύγουν πρώτα.

Σε μια βάρκα να τρυπώσουν
σε μία τρύπα να κρυφτούνε
το τομάρι τους να σώσουν
κι ας τους άλλους να πνιγούνε.

Εδώ το σύμπαν καταρρέει
κι εμείς το παίζουμε ωραίοι
του καραβιού οι αρουραίοι.

Με καράβι που βουλιάζει
και με ποντικούς γεμάτο
η Ελλάδα τώρα μοιάζει
κι όλο πάει για τον πάτο

Έτσι μου 'πε τις προάλλες
ένας ποντικός δυο μέτρα
που κατέβαινε τις σκάλες
γαντζωμένος σε μία πέτρα.

κι εμείς το παίζουμε ωραίοι

The Mice

When the boat is springing a leak
the captains question

the mice first leave.

To stow away in a boat
to hide in a hole
to save their skin
and let the others drown.

Here the universe is collapsing

With a sinking ship
and filled with mice
Greece now resembles
and it's going down the drain

So it told me the other day
a mouse of two meters
who was coming down the stairs
clinging on to a stone.
