В деревне девушка жила,
Дружка из армии ждала,
А он приехал не один.
Его избранница была,
Из городских, как свет мила,
Всех пацанов с ума свела...
А у неё второй годок
Был на руках его сынок,
И кровь отхлынула с лица,
Растить ей сына без отца.

Заплутала в чистом поле тропиночка,
Вспоминала как дарила косыночку,
Как у березки всю ноч, до рассвета, целовала его.

Боец не долго погостил,
Он на Кавказ опять спешил,
Где за Россию он служил,
Да там и голову сложил.
Осталась девушка одна,
И не вдова и не жена,
Кому теперь она нужна.
Катилась по щеке слеза,
Застыли глядя в даль глаза,
Но словно копия с лица,
Так сын похож был на отца...

Заплутала в чистом поле тропиночка,
Вспоминала как дарила косыночку,
Как у березки всю ночь, до рассвета, целовала его.

А годы птицами летят,
И вот уже другой солдат
Уходит в армию служить.
Пришла девчёнка проводить
И на прощанье подарить
Ему последний поцелуй.
Катилась по щеке слеза
Он обнимал глядел в глаза,
И обещал не забывать,
Она сказала буду ждать...

Заплутала в чистом поле тропиночка,
Подарила на прощанье косыночку,
И у березки всю ночь, до рассвета, целовала его.

Bandanna

In the village a young woman dwelled,

But he arrived not alone.
His chosen was there,

All the lads she had overthrown...
And hers for a year

To raise her son without his grace.

In the open field the path became unclear,

The soldier stayed but a short while,
To the Caucasus he had to compile,
Where for Russia he did serve,

Frozen, staring into the distance, her eyes aglow,
But as a copy from her face,
Her son so resembled his father's grace...

And now another soldier goodbye
Must bid to serve his military time.
A young woman came to see him off,
And as a farewell, a gift to scoff,
A final kiss for him to find.

He held her close, his eyes aglow,
And promised not to forget,
She said, "I'll wait." And so they met...
