Я на виду - и действием и взглядом
Я выдаю присутствие свое.
Нат Пинкертон и Шерлок Холмс - старье!
Спокойно спите, люди: Гусев - рядом!

Мой метод прост - сажусь на хвост и не слезаю.
Преступник - это на здоровом теле прыщик,-
И я мерзавцу о себе напоминаю:
Я здесь - я вот он,- на то я сыщик!

Волнуются преступнички,
Что сыщик не безлик,
И оставляют, субчики,
Следочки на приступочке,
Шифровочки на тумбочке,-
Достаточно улик.

Работу стою по системе четкой,
Я не скрываюсь, не слежу тайком,-
И пострадавший будет с кошельком,
Ну а преступник - будет за решеткой.

Идет преступник на отчаянные трюки,
Ничем не брезгует, на подкуп тратит тыщи,-
Но я ему заламываю руки:
Я здесь - я вот он,- на то я сыщик!

Достаточно улик.

Вот я иду уверенной походкой:
Пусть знает враг - я в план его проник!
Конец один - преступник за решеткой:
Его сам Гусев взял за воротник!

I'm always seen - in action and in sight,
My presence is known far and wide.
Nat Pinkerton and Sherlock Holmes are old news, my dear!
Sleep soundly, people: Gusev is by your side!

My method's simple - I tail and never let go.
A criminal is like a pimple on a healthy body,
And I remind the scoundrel of my presence, you know:
I'm here - I'm right here, that's what makes me a detective, so!

The crooks get nervous, you see,
Knowing the detective's not a mystery,
And they leave, the little devils,
Traces on the doorstep,
Cipher notes on the nightstand,
Enough evidence to withstand.

I work with a clear system,
I don't hide, I don't spy in secret,
And the victim will have his wallet back, my pet,
While the criminal will be behind bars, I bet.

The criminal resorts to desperate stunts,
He'll stop at nothing, spending thousands on bribes,
But I twist his arms, darling, no blunts:
I'm here - I'm right here, that's what makes me a detective, so wise!
