Он ушел из дома на закате дня,
Чтоб остыло сердце в холодах ночей,
Чтоб печаль истлела в горести огня,
Чтоб к луне подняться по ветвям лучей.
И где теперь его искать?.
Как заглянуть за облака?.
Как ветер в легкие поймать,
Что бы позвать его издалека?.
Он искал победы в вечности войны.
Он смотрел на Бога через дырки звезд.
Он отдал пол жизни за любовь весны,
Растеряв ее темный жемчуг слез.
Он узнал, что друг это хороший нож,
Что среди трех героев два дурака,
Что любое слово это ложь,
И если сам себе не врешь,
То будешь бить исподтишка.
По дороге к солнцу через долгий лед,
По бескрайней смерти маковых полей,
Не держи его он все-равно уйдет,
Отпусти, он все-равно слабей.
И где теперь его искать?
Как заглянуть за облака?
Как ветер в легкие поймать,
Чтобы позвать его издалека?

The Beginning

He left home as the day began to fade,
To cool his heart in the cold of the nights,
To let sorrow burn away in the fire's plight,
To climb to the moon on beams of moonlight.
And where to search for him now?.
How to peek beyond the clouds?.
How to catch the wind in my lungs,
To call out to him from afar?.
He sought victory in the eternity of war.
He looked upon God through holes in the stars.
He gave half his life for the love of spring,
Scattering its dark pearl tears.
He learned that a friend is a good knife,
That among three heroes, two are fools,
That any word is a lie,
And if you don't lie to yourself,
You'll strike from the shadows.
On the road to the sun through the long ice,
Through the endless death of poppy fields,
Don't hold him, he'll leave anyway,
Let him go, he's weaker anyway.
