И стучал горох голов человечьих,

И горе на каждый пришло порог.
И тьма распустилась безликим цветком,
И не было ни солнца ни луны ни звёзд,
И многие уходили тайком,
И многие искали на небеса мост.
И стало душно в заоблачных городах,
И опустела земля людьми,
И всё стало прах,
И то, что не стало прахом, жгли.
И стал мир пуст,
И было так семь дней и одну ночь,
И все слова облетели с уст,
И всё живое унесло прочь.
И был день восьмой,
И небо открыло свои глаза,
И за первой солнца слезой
Была вторая луны слеза.
И те, кто выжил, обратили лица,

И никто из них Его не узнал, никто не заметил.

And they poured the darkness into bowls,
And they drank greedily,
And they were told, "This is the blood of your children,

And they demanded more for themselves,
And they screamed with the depths of their throats,

And they gnawed the bones white,

And the peas of human heads rattled,
And the stream of boiling blood roared,
And each one maimed the other,
And grief came to everyone's doorstep.
And darkness blossomed like a faceless flower,
And there was no sun, no moon, no stars,

And everything became dust,
