Старый замок сверкает,
Огнями в ночи.
Там вина и шампанского,
Льются ручьи.
Королевский судья,
Пригласил всех на бал.
Только смерть почему-то,
Судья не позвал.
Но разве смерти нужен
Пригласительный билет?
НЕТ!!!
И стояла она одна,
Молчалива и холодна.
И смотрела на блеск огней,
Странный гость из царства теней.
Веселился, сверкая, при блеске свечей,
Хоровод из шутов, королей, палачей.
И звучал минуэт, и звучал контрданс,
И сатиры пускались с пастушками в пляс.
Но разве смерть живые пригласят на минуэт?
НЕТ!!!
И стояла она одна,
И как мрамор была бледна.
Среди юных принцесс и фей,
Странный гость из царства теней.
А на башне пробило двенадцать часов,
И послышалось дальней ухо низов,
И тогда распахнулось от ветра окно,
И погасли все свечи и стало темно.
Свет зажгли и увидели тело судьи,
И кровавый листок у него на груди:
"Сотни раз ты к невинным
На казнь меня звал,
Но забыл пригласить
Ты старуху на бал"
И я тебя с собою
Заберу на тот свет!!!
И звеня порвалась струна.
И разбился бокал вина.
Скрылась в тучах луна, а с ней
Странный гость из царства теней...

The old castle shimmers,
With lights in the night.
There, wine and champagne,
Flow in streams so bright.
The royal judge,
Invited everyone to the ball.
Only death, for some reason,
The judge did not call.
But does death need
An invitation ticket?
NO!!!
And she stood alone,
Silent and cold as stone.
And she gazed at the glittering lights,
A strange guest from the realm of eternal nights.
The crowd reveled, sparkling in the candlelight's gleam,
A round dance of jesters, kings, and executioners' team.
The minuet and contredanse did sound,
And satyrs with shepherdesses danced around.
But would the living invite death to the minuet?
NO!!!
And she stood alone,
Pale as marble, her face like a stone.
Among young princesses and fairies so fair,
A strange guest from the realm of shadows and despair.
And on the tower, the clock struck twelve,
A distant murmur from the depths did delve,
Then the wind flung open the window wide,
And all the candles extinguished, darkness did preside.
They lit the light and saw the judge's form so still,
And a bloody note upon his chest, sending a chill:
"Hundreds of times you've called me to the innocent's plight,
To lead them to execution, day and night,
But you forgot to invite,
The old woman to the ball tonight."
And I will take you with me,
To the world beyond the fall!!!
And with a ringing sound, the string did snap,
And the wine glass shattered with a resounding clap.
The moon hid in the clouds, and with it did flee,
The strange guest from the realm of shadows, eternally...
