Стоял солдат на часах и захотелось ему на родине побывать.
"Хоть бы, — говорит, — чёрт меня туда снёс!"
Ну а чёрт тут как тут.
"Ты, — говорит, — звал меня, а?"
"Звал."
"Изволь, давай в обмен душу!"
"А как же я службу брошу, как с часов сойду?"
"Да я за тебя постою."
Решили так, что солдат год на родине проживёт,
Ну а чёрт всё время прослужит на службе.
"Ну, скидавай, форму-то, скидавай!"
Солдат всё с себя скинул и не успел опомниться, как дома очутился.
А чёрт на часах стоит. Подходит генерал и видит,
Что всё у него по форме, одно нет:
Не крест-накрест ремни на груди, и все на одном плече.
"Это что?"
А чёрт — и так и сяк, а надеть не может никак.
Генерал ему по зубам, а после в порку.
И пороли чёрта каждый день.
Так — хороший солдат, всё есть,
А ремни все на одном плече. В порку, пороть.
"Что с этим солдатом сделалось?
Никуда теперь не годится, а прежде всё бывало в исправности."
Пороли чёрта весь год.
"Что с этим солдатом сделалось? Никуда теперь не годится."
Прошёл год, приходит солдат сменять чёрта. А чёрт,
Как солдата увидел, форму с себя долой и бежать, только его и видели.
"Ну вас на хрен с этой службой солдатской!
В вашей армии даже черти служить не могут"
И убежал.

Soldier and the Devil

A soldier stood on guard, and he wanted to visit his homeland.
"At least the devil could take me there!" he said.
And the devil was right there.
"You called me, didn't you?" he said.
"I did."
"Fine, but give me your soul in exchange!"
"But how can I leave my service? How can I leave my post?"
"I'll take your place."
They decided that the soldier would live in his homeland for a year,
And the devil would serve all the time in the service.
"Well, take off your uniform, take it off!"
The soldier took everything off and before he knew it, he was home.
And the devil stands on the clock. The general approaches and sees,
That all his form is correct, but one thing is not:
Not cross-crossed on the chest, and all on one shoulder.
"What's this?"
And the devil goes back and forth, but can't put it on.
The general punches him, and then whips him.
And they whipped the devil every day.
He is such a good soldier, he has everything,
But all the belts are on one shoulder. Whip him, whip him.
"What happened to this soldier?
He's no good now, and before everything was in order."
Whipped the devil all year.
"What happened to this soldier? He's no good now."
A year passed, the soldier comes to change the devil. And the devil,
As he saw the soldier, stripped off his uniform and ran away, and that was the last they saw of him.
"To hell with this soldier's service!
Even the devils can't serve in your army"
And he ran away.
