Творец готовя сей набросок, не жалел белил
К утру, над полем боя, накидав из снега обелиск
Идет декабрь, его шаги уже слышны вдали
Он как анестезия - отмороженное не болит
А за рекой зарница - от боев далеких отголосок
Среди подбитых гусениц многотонных колоссов
Ветра монотонный гул, что завывает, как вервольф
Бескомпромиссней чем клинок поднесенный к носу
Питать надежды тут в корне неверно
Ведь поземка обвивала тело коварной виверной
Засыпая снегом равномерно и так незаметно
Погребая на чужой земле, в глубинах континента

Где кровь из ран перемешалась с почвой
Ее увы не остановишь девичьим платочком, романтично
Братская могила, закат бледно-розовый
Хотел железный, но не получил даже березовый
Пурга к утру позаметает и трупы и тропы
Жалкие останки пары рот, с любовью из Европы
И эту смерть мы просто делим на двоих, как Польшу
Одной надеждой меньше одной песней больше

Под шинелью, унося последние крохи тепла
Снова кровь потекла, мороза вонзилась игла
Рваные полотна облаков неслись по небу стремглав
Холод и мгла - финал последней из жизненных глав
Когда застряли в твоем теле злые осы пуль
Вот так мой белокурый Генрих, ты отнюдь не Беовульф
А так хотелось в Вальгаллу к эйнхериям...
Как без тебя теперь тысячелетняя империя?

Царица холода и тьмы вновь покидает замок
Взяв эти земли в осаду, кутает их в белый саван
Она придет и за тобой, из-за лесопосадок
Слышен тихий скрип, что издают полозья ее санок
Ты вскоре все увидишь сам, сквозь инея коросту
Ледяной венец водруженный на седые космы
Чист ее наряд безукоризненно, будто апостол
Но в глазницах черепа чернильно-непроглядный космос

И все, что накопить успел, уже не пригодится
Её прощальный поцелуй холодный, как убийца
Но только знаешь...
Если приглядеться...
Нет там вовсе в поле никого, там просто снег кружится

Winter Tale

And beyond the river, there's lightning - an echo of distant battles
Among the wrecked tracks of multi-ton colossi
The monotonous hum of the wind, howling like a werewolf
More uncompromising than a blade held to the nose
It's fundamentally wrong to harbor hopes here
For the blizzard wrapped around the body like a treacherous wyvern
Falling asleep with snow evenly and so imperceptibly
Burying on foreign soil, in the depths of the continent

Alas, you can't stop it with a girl's handkerchief, romantically
Mass grave, pale pink sunset
I wanted an iron one, but didn't even get a birch one
By morning, the blizzard will sweep away both corpses and paths
Pitiful remains of a couple of mouths, with love from Europe
And we simply share this death, like Poland
One less hope, one more song

Under the greatcoat, taking away the last crumbs of warmth
Blood flowed again, the needle of frost pierced
Torn canvases of clouds rushed across the sky headlong
Cold and darkness - the finale of the last chapters of life
When evil wasps of bullets got stuck in your body
That's how it is, my blond Heinrich, you're by no means Beowulf
And I so wanted to go to Valhalla to the Valkyries...
How can the thousand-year empire exist without you now?

The Queen of cold and darkness leaves her castle again
Taking these lands under siege, she wraps them in a white shroud
She will come for you too, from behind the forest plantations
A quiet creak is heard, made by the runners of her sleigh
You will soon see everything yourself, through the crust of frost
An icy crown placed on gray hair
Her attire is impeccably clean, like an apostle
But in the eye sockets of the skull, there's an inky-black, impenetrable cosmos

And everything you managed to accumulate will no longer be needed
Her farewell kiss is cold, like a killer

There's no one in the field at all, it's just snow swirling
