С поля бранного вёл их новый вождь,
Как и прежде - к миру и славе.
Отражалась в небесах судьба...
Рвали зубами чью-то мёртвую плоть,
Запивали вином, благодарствуя богу.
И звериный оскал их обнажала ночь,
Срывая маски со лжи и порока.
Закружил их мрак, вакханалий смерч,
Пир безумия в танце адовом.
Они сбились с пути, а их новый вождь,
Как и прежние, мечен был дьяволом.
Они шли сквозь века на одном корабле,
Бесконечность времён замыкая в кольцо,
Улетали в даль, разорвавшие круг,
К звёздам, что рядом мерцали.
Звали всех за собой, освещая им путь,
Светом звёзд на корабль возвращаясь.
Но, как и прежде, вёл их новый вождь -

They lost their way, and their new leader,
Like the former ones, was marked by the devil.
They sailed through the ages on the same ship,
Closing the infinity of times in a ring,
They flew into the distance, having broken the circle,
To the stars that twinkled nearby.
They called everyone after them, lighting their way,
Returning to the ship by the light of the stars.

Unfailingly to bright distances.
