Ветра свист в чернеющем небе без звезд
Даль одинокой тайги за мной

Двери открыты, залы пусты
Величавые гроты усеяны золотом и письменами
Факел сияет ярче зари
На огромных тронах покоились жуткие кости веками
Передо мной сидят короли
Их сила богатства и слава
На многие тысячи лет
Сокрыты средь горного зала
Лишь прах ветру мчится вослед
Поникнут безвольные плечи
Все ближе пугающий час
Когда сквозь остывшую вечность

Bones of the First Ones

Snow, defiled by the trail,
Wind whistles in the blackening starless sky,
The expanse of the lonely taiga behind me,
A difficult path stretches for hundreds of miles.
Through the veil of nights,
Pours bright,
The light of the aurora borealis grows stronger,
Illuminating the slopes of mountain ranges.
Somewhere there, under the gray peaks of the cliffs, a secret hides,
Black stones, white ice,
Rise as walls of a forgotten ancient kingdom.
The doors are open, the halls are empty,
Majestic grottoes are strewn with gold and writings.
The torch shines brighter than the dawn,
On enormous thrones, eerie bones rested for centuries.
Before me sit kings,
Their power, wealth, and glory,
For many thousands of years,
Hidden amidst the mountain hall.
Only dust rushes after the wind,
Willpowerless shoulders will droop,
The frightening hour draws near,
When through the cooled eternity,
Oblivion will overtake us.
