ולב נבוב ותושיה סתומה
וגוף נראה - ונפש נעלמה,
וארץ - שוחריה ימצאו רע

ועבד יהרוג היום אדוניו
ושפחה יסרה מלכה ואמה,
ובן יקום עלי אביו ואמו
וכן הבת באביה ואמה.

ידידי, ראתה עיני בתבל
אשר הטוב בעיני כל מהומה.

ימי חיי אנוש ישא עמלים -
וישא אחריתו גוש ורימה,
ותשוב האדמה לאדמה -
ותעל הנשמה לנשמה.
