خيرًا بفعلِكَ تنطقُ الأشياءُ
وتُسرُّ منكَ وتُسعدُ الأحياءُ
أحسنْتَ صنعًا في البلادِ جميعِها
وسعَتْ إلى سبقِ الدُّنا كلباءُ

فبها تباهى الأوّلونَ بمجدِهمْ
وسمَتْ بيارقُهم وبانَ ضياءُ
وبها البحيرةُ قد سقَتْ بجمالِها
تاريخ قوم جلهُ الأبناء
كلباءُ يا عبقَ الأريجِ وحسنَهِ
رئةُ البلادِ وللصّعابِ رداءُ

خيرًا بفعلِكَ تنطقُ الأشياءُ
وتُسرُّ منكَ وتُسعدُ الأحياءُ
أحسنْتَ صنعًا في البلادِ جميعِها
وسعَتْ إلى سبقِ الدُّنا كلباءُ

ها قد أتاكِ من النّعيمِ جمالُهُ
أيقونةٌ بانَتْ وزانَ بناءُ
أبدعْتَ يا شيخَ البلادِ وسعدَها
أبدعْتَ فعلًاً بانَ منهُ وفاءُ

كلباءُ قافيةُ الجمالِ معطّرًا
في وجهِها تتبسّمُ الأضواءُ
هيَ في يدِ الأمناءِ نبضُ خميلةٍ
فالأرضُ بعدَ يبابِها خضراءُ
يا أيّها السّلطانُ دمْتَ سبيلنا
من وحيِ نهجِكَ ينهلُ الأدباءُ

أحسنْتَ صنعًا في البلادِ جميعِها
وسعَتْ إلى سبقِ الدُّنا كلباءُ

The pearl of the East

And the lake watered it with its beauty,

So the land is green after its desolation.
