Changing landscapes, how many years have passed
My city, how many times has it been rebuilt
As a child, when I looked up, I could see the clouds floating
Living under your shadow, for so long

Millions of skyscrapers, blocking out all the light

I've had a thought, for so long, to find a space in the city
To plant a fava bean, to let it grow into an oasis
Until the skyscraper accepts it
So that all future generations need only look up
And see the glorious universe
