Laughing at you and me for vainly draining our hearts' energy
Loving to vie for that gorgeous mirage of vanity
Fearing that good luck will vanish in the twinkling of an eye
Bewitched by greed, anger, vanity, like, and dislike
Blaming you and me for being too greedy for power and status
Blaming the sentient beings on Earth for being too gorgeous
Regretting that we were too faithful to our vows in the past
Bewitched by sadness, joy, grievance, hatred, and envy
Ah, loath to relinquish the splendor of the mundane world
Ah, unable to evade the comfort of infatuation
Ah, unable to find hues to replace it
Ah, going through life without comprehending this conundrum
Gulping the wind, kissing the rain, burying the sunset, never dismayed
Bullying mountains and crossing seas, treading snowy paths, never despairing
Pinching flowers and drinking wine, forcibly thwarting the wild desires of the world
With these two eyes and a hundred arms or a thousand hands, unable to defend
The sky is vast, the snow boundless, with whom to sail together?
