Guardians of Taiwan

Call out to me, call out to me
Dusk's native land incessantly calls to me,
Calls to me, this body of mine fated for suffering,
A vagrant with no home, a lost soul adrift.

I have felt nothing for so long,
I have had no drive for so long,
It has been so long since my eyes filled with tears,
So long since I have dreamt.
Like a cold-blooded creature, weary of the status quo,
I no longer care about what happens around me,

They let us witness pumpkins turning into golden carriages,
They give Taiwan a new vision,

When we take out our passports, we feel amazing.

There are too many guardians of Taiwan who exist默默地存在
They are businessmen who buy land everywhere but do nothing with it, just to preserve the ecosystem.
They are students who miss their final exams to save stray dogs.
They are kindergarten teachers who hug children when they are burned.
We do not remember the names of these great people,
But they are doing great things.
They are definitely the guardians of Taiwan.
They not only illuminate Taiwan,
They also warm our hearts.
So if I am a cleaner,
I will give you the cleanest city.
If I am a teacher, I will entrust our dreams to your children.
If I am a greengrocer, I should learn from Ms. Chen Shu-chu.
If I am a singer, I will make children say that when they grow up they want to be Da Chi . Ha!
These cleaners, teachers, and greengrocers are the idols of the Taiwanese people,
