Coffee

Darling, it's raining, and yet it feels so easy to be here. Why is that?
I opened my umbrella just so I could go out, but then I hesitated and stopped.
The rain is still weak, but it seems like it will never end.
The TV is telling me I need a break.
'Pour yourself a cup of coffee and take a breather,' it says. I take it.
The children play on, facing their challenges head-on.
I envy them. They might call me old at 30, but surely I would never act like a child again.
Perhaps a break is what I need. You said so yourself, didn't you?
'Give me back my youth,' that's what you used to say.
Some day.
Everyone says I need a break, and that it will do me good.
They say, 'There must be something nice out there for you.'
I'm sure they're right.
The rain keeps falling, more and more, as if it will never end.
Rain, rain, everywhere, as far as the eye can see.
Soon the sky will clear, as always. It will give up, and disappear.
If tomorrow is sunny, I'll go fishing.
