Kokoro Sanctuary

In the depths of the woods, where the moonlight casts
Its pale glow over the sanctuary,
I seal my KOKORO in a jar,
For if anyone were to see it, the moon's magic
Would shatter, and only my essence
Would spill forth, leaving me BARABARA.
I adorn my body and revel in my freedom,
But my KOKORO belongs to no one, I shall not show it.
Shimmering with light, it dances and sparkles,
My own personal jewel, mine alone to possess.
Your languid words fail to drain me of my spirit,
They fall on deaf ears.
I am invincible, beyond gravity.
If only I could find my true self,
I would drink it down to my fingertips
And surely be saved.
I scream and scatter my emotions,
But the fragments of my wisdom are nowhere to be seen.
My tainted psyche, a prison for my KOKORO,
A puppet dancing to the tune of my subconscious.
Why is it,
That everyone
Hides their true selves?
Bound by their KOKORO
They stumble through life, unaware,
And the magic of the moonlight fades.
