Wandering Heart

On the 12th, I strolled through the orchards of California
I lost my sad expression, not for you
No longer lingering
On the 16th, I bathed in the hot springs of Kyushu
I lost my foolish heart, I guess
My emotions are almost healed

My luggage, checked and ready to go
No longer heavy, no nostalgia
Self-mockery, self-pity, self-pity
Have become expired, old documents
Gradually draining away my thoughts
Until I can't soften my heart

On the 20th, beneath the shadow of Big Ben
I cleared all my debts, I've atoned
My sunny days
On the 26th, at the ancient site on Easter Island
I left behind my greed, hatred, and resentment, or perhaps
I forgot to bring them to paradise

I prayed in the Notre Dame Cathedral
My lady, my Virgin Mary, did not appear
I mourned on the Yamanote Line
The journey was too long, the night too short
I wept in Changhua County
Afraid that you would hear me
