她指腹为婚只好走人

My grandma's story
Is uncommon but true
Family circumstances push a 7-year-old girl

Feeling the breeze, envisioning waves crash
Listening to the messages of the sea's splash

In this boundless sea, we find ourselves
Times are calm and times are wild, opportunities differ
But as long as I remember my intention
That flickers in my core
I will fulfill my purpose, forevermore

Truthfully, her grandfather isn't her greatest love
Her beloved, due to fate
Was promised to another, and he had to leave her
After their engagement, she cries uncontrollably
But she can't reclaim a woman's
Naïve ideas of love

During the first few years of marriage
Her grandfather treated her well
Three children in three years, happiness and fulfillment
But gradually, her grandfather becomes a philanderer

Whispers reach her ears
She confronts him out of passion and he doesn't hide his affair
In a fit of rage, he slaps her in the face
She holds her children close, only able to weep silently
Life's hardships make her forget her purpose
The vast sea of life leaves her lost and alone

Embracing the sea breeze and the waves' caress
She desperately screams out her distress

How can the sea, so cruel, forget me?
Beliefs and faith I once held are now lost at sea
The fierce waves of reality
Have consumed my dreams
How do I recover, where do I find my next source of hope?

Seas, despite their storms and winds, ultimately find serenity
Lives, despite their hardships, always find clarity
Life's bittersweet flavors
Must be bravely tasted

Finally, the sweet dew of fortune falls upon her
Four children, now grown and mature
One year, her grandfather, injured and paralyzed, needs care
The man who wronged her

Sometimes, she can't resist lashing out at him
Releasing her pent-up anger
Years later, her grandfather passes
Her companion of half a lifetime
All resentment long since forgotten

Today, she's eighty-one, surrounded by her loved ones
Her serene face etched with time
Today, some children have lost touch
But some remain close by her side

The sails of life
Will not always catch the wind, but what of it?
At least until the end, we've sailed bravely against the storm
For life is a bittersweet symphony

Constantly regretting, constantly choosing
Grandma closes her eyes
The sea is vast and wide
Her heart composed, she shares her wisdom

In this boundless sea, we find ourselves
