Halfway along this endless road,
I remember the day our hope was born.
We saw the light, but we kept faltering,
Unable to take that one step forward.
For the first time, I realized how weak I am,
How pathetic and sad I feel.
I pretended to understand and stubbornly held on,
But you always gave me your kindness.
