当我们不觉到了八十年代

我们已搬家住得舒服自在
旧戏院变成教堂做礼拜
有时我独自回到旧地感怀
惦记那昔日小孩
朋友们说我越活越不赖
像岛国一样实在

I was so excited I could not sleep
Before we knew it, we were in the eighties
The MRT spread this legend even faster
Suddenly, everyone wanted to be accountable
And we started singing Xinyao
We had already moved to a more comfortable home
The old cinema had become a church
Sometimes I would go back to the old place to reminisce
Thinking about the child I once was
My friends say I'm getting better and better with age
Like our island nation, I'm solid and dependable
Did it give me my heart
Or did I give it my love?
In the blink of an eye, it's already the nineties
Father, sing me that old song about childhood again
We will write our own story
