甲斐の山々 陽に映えて

Takeda's March

The peaks of Kai, bathed in sunlight's embrace,
I march to war, my heart free from all trace of fear, my love.
Are all our steeds well cared for, tell me true,
Are our wives and children safe and sound? Are they, my dear, are they?

Our ancestors' spirits dwell in these hills and streams,
We will not yield them to the enemy's cruel dreams, never my love.
People are the stones, people are the wall so strong,
Compassion is our ally, hatred our foe, our hated foe, so wrong.

Swift as the gale we strike,
Silent and still as the forest deep and wide,
Plundering like wildfire's burning stride,
Immovable as the mountain's mighty side.

The moon shines bright on Tsutsujigasaki's height,
Let the feast begin, my love, for with the morning's light,
We each shall set our course for the capital's might,
Soar with the clouds, brave Takeda warriors, with all your might, with all your might.
