僕の手がまだ力を持たないときに
授かったこの名前を
ごめんなさい 捨てたいと思ったこと何度もある

砂場でずっと掘り続けた山
夕方の匂い 片手の先にあったはずのバビロン
片方の視界塗りつぶしたように
いつしか自分の名前を演じるようになってしまった

僕はこの世界のGIFTとして
生まれたんだろうか そうだとしたら
この花摘んだときに地上から離される理由を
花に教えるような誠実さ絶え間なく伝えていく
GIFTを与える人になりたい

紙一枚に僕がしてきたことを
ひとつひとつ書いてみても 物語は満足しないもの
すべての善悪を両手に知ったところで
誰かを簡単に泣かしてしまう事だってあるだろう

僕はこの世界のGIFTとして
産声あげたその時はまだ
与えられた羽が重たすぎて無意識に泣いたよ
白い木綿の感触に包まれた瞬間
ただの子供になれた気がする
最初にもらったGIFTだ

僕はこの世界のGIFTとして
生まれたんだろうか そうだとしら
この花摘んだときに地上から離される理由を
花に教えるような誠実さ絶え間なく伝えていく
GIFTを与える人になりたい
それこそGIFTだ

GIFT

When I was still too small to use my hands,
You gave me this name.
Forgive me, there are times I wanted to throw it away.

The mountain I kept digging in the sand,
The smell of the evening, Babylon that was right there,
As if it had blocked my field of vision,
Gradually, I began to act out my own name.

I wonder if I was born
As a GIFT to this world? If so,
If I pick this flower, please tell me
Why I must leave the Earth, teach me with honesty,
I want to be the one who gives the GIFT.

I can write down everything I have done
On a single piece of paper, but the story is not satisfied,
Even if I learned all good and evil,
There will still be times when I make someone cry easily.

I wonder if I was born
As a GIFT to this world? Even then,
The wings I was given were too heavy. I cried unconsciously,
The moment I was wrapped in soft cotton,
I felt like I had just become a child,
That was the first GIFT I received.
