Brushes have dried up, now that you no longer sing
After a long while, you'll come to understand
You will trade everything to get back to your original intentions

I reminisce about what you could have become
I recall what you are now, the silence in your contentment
Is it not true that life is like a mysterious river
Flowing round and round, leading to an endpoint somewhere

I contemplate what you could have created
I think about your current freedom, devoid of brilliance
You have not drowned in the river
You've merely clipped your wings, dear one
