My thoughts are troubled, my spirit deeply wounded,
Old love seeks the new, I'm confounded.
Heartbroken, I can't bear the wind's mournful sound,
Who can I ask about this sorrow profound?

Streetlights dim, the moon hides in the dark,
I reminisce about your passionate kiss, a fading spark.
In vain, I search for your dark, flowing hair, a mark,
Sighing, I search for my soulmate in dreams, a lark.

Depressed and troubled, I'll turn it into a poem's strain.
