In March, the cherry blossoms bloom, their branches bright
I walk the path seeking fragrance, the spring wind searching for poetry
I imagine our meeting would be like this
My brush strokes filled with yearning as I write
Outside the courtyard, spring orioles sleep beneath the flowers
Pear blossoms clothe them, a story delicate and fine
Reading romantic dramas, my heart swells with emotion
But to whom can I confide my feelings?
The gentle rosy hues of spring, the perfect time
My candle burns low, my thoughts drift quietly
My dreams are like water and moon reflecting each other
A boat lightly rowed, rain falling softly
The world's beauty and sorrows still seem so far away
How many nights and days have I counted?
Promise me, let me hold this feeling in my youth
My heart will age with this love
Since we parted, I've learned to cherish thoughts of you
Time is precious, but love can easily fade
I sleep beneath a starry sky, water clouds my pillow
When will I receive a letter setting a date for our reunion?
