바람 참 차다 두꺼운 옷도 뚫고
내 마음 깊은 곳 까지 파고 드네
속이 참 쓰리다 변변찮은 모습에
무엇 하나 한 게 없구나
담장 너머 들리는 웃음 소리와
달 그림자 밟고 거니는 저 사람들 속에
갈 곳 없이 움츠려있는 길고양이 처럼
무슨 일이 생길지 알 순 없지만
달빛 따라 걷다 보면
한번은 나도 꿈을 꾸진 않을까
초라한 모습이라 해도
저 달이 날 빛나게 하니까
지나 온 길을 또 다시 걸어가도
어디로 가고 있는지 알 수 없네
발이 참 아프다 끝도 없는 길엔
누구 하나 곁에 없구나
거리 마다 퍼지는 차가운 공기와
화려한 불빛을 거니는 많은 사람들 속에
나와 함께 멈춰 서있는 길고양이 처럼
어디로 가야 할지 알 순 없지만

달빛 따라 걷다 보면
한번은 나도 꿈을 꾸진 않을까

초라한 모습이라 해도
저 달이 날 빛나게 하니까

Stray Cat

The wind is so cold, it pierces even through my thick clothes,
and digs deep into my heart.
My heart aches, I feel so inadequate,
I haven't accomplished anything.
Laughter echoes from beyond the wall,
and those people walk, their feet stepping on the moon's shadow.
Like a stray cat with nowhere to go, I shrink back.
I don't know what the future holds,
but as I walk under the moonlight,
will I dream someday?
Even though I look pathetic,
that moon makes me shine.
Even if I walk the same path again,
I don't know where I'm going.
My feet are so sore, there's no end to this road,
no one is by my side.
The cold air spreads through the streets,
and amidst the dazzling lights, many people walk by.
Like a stray cat standing still with me,
I don't know where to go.

As I walk under the moonlight,
will I dream someday?

Even though I look pathetic,
that moon makes me shine.
