Marty McKay - Censorship Lyrics

Lyrics Censorship - Marty McKay

Censorship laws are for you
If you don't watch your mouth, they'll watch it for you
Ask Edward Snowden if they'll reward you
The truth has been hidden, refused and diminished
The news has been picking what's true and what's fiction
Like that old song but sadder
Say "so long" to data, science has a price, facts no longer matter
They buy and pick scientists who lie and trick
Your wife to get quarantined, then hide the kids
Freedom to speak up, is our birthright
You can't choke us, we've got this fight
Our voice will be heard, we have our minds
The past we will not repeat
Opinions became bottled ships
That never had a shot at sea
We craved free, but got censorship
We need, freedom, free will
They manipulate laws, the courts and the system
Ignoring the victim, exploit them in prison
Bora-Bora's the mission, a horrid decision
Pain torn from within them brings more of division
I peep the deepest lies, deep inside the demon's eyes
People wise enough to question, all efforts get demonized
They pointed you, aim hollow points at you
Over your point of view, till the heat inside poisons you
Truth will outlive, all the lies
We will stand and revolute
Right until, rule of change applies
We won't stop, till we reach truce
Freedom to speak up, is our birthright
You can't choke us, we've got this fight
Our voice will be heard, we have our minds
The past we will not repeat
Opinions became bottled ships
That never had a shot at sea
We craved free, but got censorship
We need, freedom, free will
All deceptions, will be brought to light
All the falsehood, will be erased in time
Misinformation, will be quashed out of sight
Only time will tell, we will rage and rise
Opinions became bottled ships
That never had a shot at sea
We craved free-will but got censorship
We need, freedom, free will
Twist the headlines and feed the public cooked up tales
Erase the truth and try to save their face
You shut our opinions in the sands of time
And made sure our voices can't be revived
