Jack Dawkins - Meet Me paroles de chanson

paroles de chanson Meet Me - Jack Dawkins

I'm a walking paradox in a pair of crocs
I never wear a pair of matching socks
I left my keys in my fleece, but I'll just change the locks
Because I'm lost, caught up by the way the sun is shining
Casting shadows on my favorite block
I don't believe in rules or bar lines
I also don't like rapping about rap, that's crap and shit, that's a bar line
I'm trying to crack my hard-shell, so I can be more heartfelt
But I can't make my heart melt until I get this heart held
I have a tendency to try and steal the show
But I don't want to go to prison
Too many visions of my mission
Involving me in tuxedos and top hats, cutting ribbons
I'm along for the ride, but maybe I'm too driven?
Linger and smolder like the cinnamon of red hots
I tried to quit writing, but I just can't make my pen stop
I'm too squirrelly to function in a desk job
And I'm not quite right, like my fly's down, but I got my legs crossed
I say love to when you tell me I should get lost
Trying to write profundity in poetry like I'm Jack Frost
Because when I don't know where I am
I can't navigate incorrectly
No need for ego to protect me
I just plot a new trajectory toward the moon
Fly amongst the constellations
I'm in a constant state of consternation
When I don't let my heart lead
And give me all the right information
Just let love go first, that's it
Athletically inclined with an extended torso attached to my spine
Long arms and short legs, so I was born to climb
Easily distracted, I usually lose watches
Which is why I can't seem to keep track of time
I feel happiest when I just speak my mind
Because, for the most part, all I'm trying to be is kind
I believe in people
I believe in seeking haystacks for needles
'Cause vocab is my canvas and experience my easel
No one says I'm crazy, I think they should
Nobody calls me beautiful, I kind of wish they would
Ivy Leaguer, high achiever, with a heart that's squishy
These raps deep fat fried the crunch extra crispy
You dropped a single? That's cool, I'm dropping 50
You can take your judgment and your coldness and miss me
Because I'm out here making a name, and I'm kicking booty
And you would know that I'm never going to stop if you really knew me
