Here
I
am
sitting
in
the
driver's
seat
riding
upon
the
road
Looking
out
at
the
endless
times,
the
days
without
a
home
The
trail
is
long
but
the
stars
will
lead
me
back
to
where
the
lights
are
shining
bright
For
on
these
days
on
the
road
I
met
my
maker,
he's
shown
me
the
light.
And
The
highway
life
has
taken
us
to
where
the
roads
roll
endlessly
It's
where
the
lights
are
mine
but
the
sun
don't
shine
And
the
glare
comes
back
at
me
The
days
are
long
but
the
nights
are
empty
'Cept
for
the
whir
of
the
breeze
at
my
window
The
land
is
vast
but
there's
no
one
there
It's
though
I'm
living
my
life
in
limbo
My
music
is
playing
as
my
mind
starts
straying
And
the
road
just
rambles
on
I
see
the
birds
flying
over
my
head
But
soon
they'll
all
be
gone.
And
The
highway
life
has
taken
us
to
where
the
roads
roll
endlessly
It's
where
the
lights
are
mine
but
the
sun
don't
shine
And
the
glare
comes
back
at
me
I
remember
those
nights
a
long
time
ago
when
my
daddy
said
to
me
"It's
getting
late,
you
need
your
rest,
it's
time
to
go
to
sleep"
I'd
lay
in
bed
looking
up
at
the
stars
dreaming
of
times
like
this
But
now
that
I'm
here
I
realize
that
it's
those
old
days
that
I
miss.
And
The
highway
life
has
taken
us
to
where
the
roads
roll
endlessly
It's
where
the
lights
are
mine
but
the
sun
don't
shine
And
the
glare
comes
back
at
me
