I had a friend
A tiny friend
A friend that I would never ever lend
We always talked
We never fought
He'd follow me anywhere I walked

See him in the same way that I could
The world was clear
I called him near
And my imaginary friend appeared

They renew themselves like skin
Memories of them grow thin

But the day we say goodbye
To our closest dear ally

Be remembered till' the end

We made no noise
But he brought hours and hours of joy
His tiny wings

When he would listen to me sing

We sang some songs
We got along
Together we were very strong
But when he left
As you can guess
I slowly started to forget
