Songtexte I, Anachronism - Anubis
I
come
from
an
hour
- pregnant
and
unfurled
With
all
the
chaos
of
an
infinite
world
Where
each
sense
and
nerve
is
bombarded
with
sensation
Overwhelmed
and
dragged
into
exasperation
More
sight,
sound,
emotion
than
could
shatter
sensitivity
More
thought
than
could
reinvent
relativity
But
when
this
hour
passes
through
the
conscious
mind
It
departs
unseen,
unheard,
unfelt,
unrealized
Man:
a
fleeting,
finite
mechanism
A
brief,
unborn
anachronism
An
unawoken
cataclysm
A
stage
upon
which
struts
I,
anachronism
I,
anachronism
Our
unmourned
ashes
flow
through
the
universe
Unremembered
by
an
unfeeling
machine
Like
an
unsung
aria
through
an
unhearing
skull
And
the
doorknob
melts
like
running
paint
I
see
an
empire
of
ash
across
the
scattered
shores
Where
names
evaporate
like
color
from
a
rose
Where
mathematics
disappear
into
the
endless
aeon
Art
and
madness
united
in
oblivion
Where
music
is
as
desolate
as
the
barren
dirt
Where
cycles
are
severed
and
time
lays
inert
But
when
this
hour
passes
through
the
conscious
mind
It
departs
unseen,
unheard,
unfelt,
unrealized
Man:
a
fleeting,
finite
mechanism
A
brief,
unborn
anachronism
An
unawoken
cataclysm
A
stage
upon
which
struts
I,
anachronism
I,
anachronism
