Boltah - First Memories Songtexte

Songtexte First Memories - Boltah

As I walk down the road
Of my once childhood home
I looked around to see
What's changed since I've roamed
Time stood still
As I gazed 'cross the street
This once big hill
Has eroded at my feet
Seemed so much steeper way back then
The long stone wall
Beneath the evergreens
Is all packed with moss
Which would stain my jeans
The old brown window shutters
Against the windowpanes
The colors have changed
But the shape still remains
Seemed so much longer way back then
And just around the block
Past the old playground
On Beethoven Avenue
The old school now gone
Current and past perfumes
Mixed with daffodils
Brings me very near
To my family on the hill
The girl next door
With the dark curly hair
My neighboring first crush
Is no longer there
My mother and my father
Shared their time here
My first memories
Down on Woodward
Past the flashing light
Stay straight on course
See Hinckley take a right
Number sixty-two
