Songtexte Preface - Cambii

My intention with this project
Was not to create a step by step guide for you to follow
As I have not yet myself discovered the path
That leads to the place I once hope to call home
In fact, I'm not even sure that I know what that place looks like

Instead, my goal was emphasize the toxic behaviors in relationships
From both sides
In order to create awareness of the current situation at hand
And allow for growth and necessary change to take place
As we take this journey together
We will work to distance ourselves from the relationships
That constantly take from us
And prevent us from achieving complete happiness

It is often that
We find ourselves reverting back to these relationships
Because they are what we know and what we are used to
And somehow we find comfort there
But eventually we reach our breaking point yet again
It is a dangerous cycle
And if we don't take the time to recognize the red flags
That repeatedly present themselves to us
We will never escape
Find someone that stays true to their promises
And never let them go
