I remember running through the cut
Money burning holes in my pockets
I remember middle school lunch
Seeing all the gear they was rocking
Said they just gotta whole bunch
If they bought it they would only wear it once
Used to think I had to keep up
But my parents still came in clutch
I remember rocking three-dollar shoes
Wasn't cool I decided imma focus on school
Cause the clothes ain't make me happy
Still believe it right now

I came out of depression and my suicidal thoughts
Stuck inside a cycle where the greatest get lost
While you see a smile they would only feel pain

Quit my job cause they was really lying on me
How could I ever do things that they said about me

Late-night when I died in my sleep something changed
I was calm I was scared that I didn't make a name
For myself or my family so I started to grind
Don't want the fame but I'll settle for a few dollar signs
To get my mom that BMW my little sis a Jeep
My other sis convertible, my dad some needed sleep
Happiness is family and purpose that I found
Do my best to share it with some complimenting sounds
Don't know where I'm headed but I caught my happiness
There's no expectations for what's coming up next
