I am Boots, and through the years
I tried my hand at many a trade
After all the sweat and tears
I fail and run way

I poke about in ashes
And dream of better places
The sound of angry men
Still float about my head

A long and lonely journey
Towards the castle I will run
To reach my destiny

No more to poke in ashes
I leave for better places
Behind the angry men
Will long have left my head

Embers are the heart of home
I blow to keep them burning
But my heart burns for me to roam
It stokes the flames of yearning

Brave of heart and strong of mind
I'll leave this hopeless life behind
I'll keep in mind my family
Until I'm back again

For one day the wind will blow
A bold, exciting journey
By sea or land or air I'll go
And reach my destiny

I will have adventures there
Maybe meet a love so fair
But keep in mind my family
And go back home again

We live and we die in the blink of an eye
Regrets never bring all our hopes to life
I dreamt about eating food with a troll
And the giant with no heart or soul

In black of night it's so hard to see
But when there is light there is room to breathe
I wanted to go but I had to go alone
I ran so quickly to the great unknown
