The landlords in the government
Would have you living in a tent
They charge the most colossal rent
And bow down, to the vultures
A couple on an average wage
Can't afford the cheapest place
It's like a slap across the face
They look after their own
The will to build affordable homes

They disregard our homeless woes
It's high time for a change now
Thousands of kids in b and b's
An insult to James Connolly
A bad knock for young self esteem
For homework and young dreams

Vote them out
For the first time
In the history of this state
Vote them out, make them realign
Humble pie, upon their plate
You have clout, you possess spine
Let them hear the word mandate
When the workers of a rich land
They can't afford, to close a front door
And their children don't understand
Why Mam and Dad, are goin mad
In times gone past the state was broke
But still built homes for working folk
Who paid them off in years to come
Kept towns and cities running
We have to hold them to account
These I'm alright jack money louts
Who couldn't give a damn about
Essential workers woes
White collar crime is AOK
If you've a certain resume
You just play dumb and to them say
I can't recall that dealing

Who spent a few nights, in the slam
He picked the nights he'd spend in jail
Gave dates he'd be available

Vote them out
