Back in my day we had that school
Back in my day I lost my cool
Back in that day I lost everything that I could become

When I was at that school
I don't know what I could do
Muster up all the knowledge
And become what I was afraid of

Don't know what I would do now
Guess it's better not to find out

What was I supposed to do?
Sit in the corner
And shout?

I couldn't take it anymore
I had to show them I was cruel
How I was cool
How I was a mule

Guess I didn't know any better
By now, though, I think I should
I guess we'll have to find out
What I could dream, oh, I could dream

If we skip to the chrous
Maybe if we do
It'll all go away somehow

What was I supposed to do?

One day I blurted it out;
"Hark!
"I'll tell you what I'm about
"I'll tell you what I can do
"I'll show you what I can do
"I'll show what I'm capable of"

Maybe that was my mistake
"I'll come back,"
I said.
