Songtexte Riffage 2 - Emmett Howard

Flaming wheels of stainless steel
That bring you to the pit of fire
The heat that comes from who you meet
You would hate to greet them, too
Freezing hands until they stand
And hide them back within their warmth
The morning air is always squandered
When the winter steals it back
Heated bodies radiate
Fueling discomfort with each step
Leaning away from every mistake
Leaving a fray behind in the wake
More or less I feel stressed out
I never wanted you to hurt
Always picking something new
It's hard to decide what to do
Who's to say that we aren't all
As bad as we had feared
Boiled water burns the hands
Of those less fortunate
Documentaries of shame
Have spurred low self esteem
No one's used to heated seats
We all just act a fool
You say you could do it well
We all write with a claw
Flaming wheels of stainless steel
Are wrought with propaganda
If it was up to you
It wasn't to begin with
More or less I feel stressed out
I never wanted you to hurt
Always picking something new
It's hard to decide what to do
I want to go back home
I didn't want to stay
I feel your body heat
It burns into my skin
Sounds like piercing razor blades
So I covered my ears
Why would you care how I
Choose to conduct myself
Pillars of ignorance
Pillars of innocence
Pillars of what you said
Pillars of why you're wrong
Who's to say that we aren't all
As bad as we had feared
