Butterflies In February

Can I garden in the winter
Cause my heart's been freezing since last fall
And there's this sting that lingers
So I've been staying indoors

I see both snow angels and snowball fights
But it makes me kinda miss it
And honestly I don't know why
I can't be optimistic

But there's no butterflies in February
And I guess that's fine
I'll just watch the flurries
As they fall for each other
Observing how they'll melt
But how cold will be cold enough
Until I let myself

Fall for someone else
How long mm mm

Withering flowers
And as I'm paving sidewalks with salt
Recalling April showers
When I'd dance in the rain to a fault

I know seasons will come back around
But I can't see pass the snow
I'm just hoping where I'll be bound
There's still a chance to grow

Even with no butterflies in February
Oh I guess that's fine

Remnants of what had been

And I'll feel butterflies in February
And I'll let them fly like pretty flurries

And in the winter I'd still melt
When nothing could be cold enough
To stop what I feel
