Out of the ruins we were crawling
A second strife we least dared to realize
They had come from afar without warning
Seeding our suggestion you and I

On the streets I was running from the fire
I was heading for the river Thames
Seeking shelter in the cooling water
Out of sight for the aliens

But a ship passed us over like a shadow
Sending evils out to seal our fate
Lately dread had struck your final hour
I was thinking this could be the end

When something came sliding fast from above

Neon slime drizzling down from that long dead creature
As I fired my final round
It came crashing down
And they were all around
