So I worked on my own
Worked my fingers to the bone
With a view to improving my position
And the hours of the day
How they quickly swept away
In the fires of my burning ambition
And I never cared about the things I missed along the way
I could always make up for them
When I made it someday
Just a ball of motivation
With a single destination
Never slowing till I got where I was going

Now I'm woking on my own
On my muscles and my bones
With a view to improving their positions
And the hours of the day are just steps along the way
On the long road to improving my condition
And I'm buying things to help me swing
And to help me stand the pace
I'm applying things to help me keep those wrinkles from my face
