Songtexte The French Battlefront - KITARO
I
became
a
driver
to
pick
up
dead
bodies
My
main
job
At
first,
it's
kinda
hard
but
after
a
while
Somehow
I
get
used
to
it,
a
dead
body
on
a
stretcher
One
time
I
knew
the
guy,
that
was
hard
Tommy,
he
was
a
sergeant,
machine
gun
section
leader
Not
on
my
section
but
the
next
section
And
we
trained
for
one
year
So
I
sat
next
to
him,
uh,
just
the
whole
night
I'd
remember
sleeping,
I
sat
on
my
helmet
That's
what
we,
we
all
had
helmets
That
was
a
good,
great,
you
know,
support
We
sat
on,
I
sat
on
it
and
I
saw
Tommy
lying
in
front
of
me
In
his
uniform
and
very
much
at
peace,
asleep
And
uh,
he
was
so
clean,
I
mean
His
uniform,
I
remember
there's
no
blood
or
anything
Yeah,
uh,
it
is,
uh,
I
guess
I'm
really
sad,
the
loss
He
was
a
good
guy,
I
mean,
decent,
good
guy
In
September
1944,
the
100th
442nd
regimental
combat
team
Was
ordered
to
go
from
Italy
to
the
French
battle
front
In
October
1944,
the
French
town
of
Bruyères
long
occupied
by
the
Germans
Was
finally
liberated
by
the
100th
442nd
but
at
a
tremendous
cost
To
celebrate
the
65th
anniversary
of
the
liberation
veterans
Of
the
100th
442nd
revisited
their
former
battle
grounds
