Cool Enough

With my walk I don't play around
If you sinning, I'm not gonna stay around
All my selfish desires I lay em down
And I'll change your name but I won't change your noun
And I come from Virginia the place thats for lovers
But we don't love God we just love to sin
And if life is a game then the Bible's the playbook
I study it hard cause I love to win
I'ma stay in the word, I'ma stay in the Spirt
No question I know what I'm up against
And ignoring my sin debt is more than the
Elephant in the room it's Snuffleupagus
And I know I don't know everything in the Bible
I guess I did not go to school enough
But these are the things I proclaim cuz of Jesus' name
If you're too cool to say it I guess that means

I'm not cool enough I'm Christian who don't drink and I never will

And I smile through my teeth, I don't smirk through a grill

See, Satan ain't fooling me ever since puberty
I know what lust will do to me
So I'll never watch Game of Thrones cuz of the sex and the nudity

You say the culture gives words definitions
That justifies why you cuss as a Christian
The Bible says no obscene talk from your mouth
That's a sin not personal conviction
This isn't legalism this is dying to the flesh
And living in the Spirit
Progressive Christianity I'm not getting near it
I'm preaching he with an ear let him hear it
Christians today are like sweet tea
With a lot of sugar and a lot of ice
On a hot day when you drink it fast
It's refreshing no doubt it's a blessing
You take that same cup never take a sip
Leave it on the table let that ice melt
You no longer want it cuz it's watered down
Do you see my point, man it's time for confession

Buying skinny 32's and trying to fit in
That's how believers are living on Earth
End up locked out of heaven and trying to get in
Never be rude to your waiter unless you're
Ok with him serving you food that he spit it
That's what you serve to the world when you say
You're a Christian but that's not the life that your living

I can hate the sin, while still loving the sinner
And not pretend that he ain't doing stuff
That I can't get with Holy Spirit
In me says no even when my flesh says yes
Temptation's too heavy like a bench press
I'm not gonna lift it who am I trying to impress
The devil is crazy persistent
I'm trying to walk in resistance for instance
No matter how fly I'm ignoring the mistress
I cannot be perfect but strive for consistence
In every aspect of spirituality
Live by the word it is not a formality
Not gonna end up a spiritual casualty
Cause I'm approaching God's holiness casually
Me and God are tight like Alex and Mallory
Serving Him way before I got a salary
Storing up treasures in heaven
I'm counting my blessings like blessings were calories
And If I ever fall man I'm getting up
If you ever need prayer then hit me up
And If life is a game then we Ballin
And if you got next I expect you to pick me up
Unless I'm not cool enough then I'll
Sit on the bench with the rest of the warmers
True Christians or phony performers
Less of the latter and more of the former
