I'm tired of listening to all these voices
I'm tired of listening to all these voices
Man I'm tired of listening to all these voices
Telling me I should be making different choices

My mind's always thinking that I can't advance
Aimlessly waiting for someone else to have a plan
But I know happiness isn't happenstance
Got everybody anxious asking for an ativan

The past ain't the past if you can't let it go
Only see one perspective cuz I said it's so
But to avoid recreating something terrible
The path's acceptance not expectance how I'm led to grow

Got many ruminations about a ruined nation
& more ruminations that I'm too complacent
I try to use my will to bring em to cessation
But the answer is to truly use my patience

Life is not black or white or some shade of grey
Can't stay on the path I was made to stray
Every time I think I've changed in a major way
I get derailed by thoughts like a play by play

I'm tired of listening to all these voices
Man I'm tired of listening to all these voices

Telling me I should be making different choices

Right after peace and quiet during meditation
I open eyes to a world filled with devastation
Wish it led to a renewed dedication
But my usual response is resignation

How can I help others when I am still struggling
& avoiding confronting what is real troubling
But not confronting that is why I'm still stumbling
To look inside of the mind that is real humbling

But these times is hella puzzling
Impossible for our conscious minds to keep juggling
That why sometimes I'm barely functioning
Within the stories of the mind that is where I'm tumbling

No justice no peace all is see is violence
A bunch of those chose to lead only being childish
Claim to be of faith but acting like they be a nihilist
That's the reason that I'm always seeking silence

I'm tired of listening to all these voices
