Out of the embers rose a beautiful phoenix
Spent so many Decembers in the cold I was freezing
Had to learn how to let go to hold on to the real me
Put it all in the blender and mixed all the ingredients
Now what I've got is a confection of everything that's within me
Mixed the pain with the passion now I'm fuelled and I'm driven
As a car on a track that's traveling at great speeds
That's what it took to suspend my disbelief and believe in
The dream that I have that I'm trying to attain
I didn't like who I was so I killed that part of me
On the brink on the cusp of making a stain
Lately it feels like I'm just a single away
From the crowd going wild and screaming my name
Through tough times and the trials God imparted on me
Was all to test and defy make me who I am
I developed a style representative of

My taste and my likings
Turned to great from a side bench
All the hate that been piling
Means we making them riot
Means we changing the science
Of the game its designing
Foundations applied we
Elevate to a giant
Hungrily grinded in the shadow of night
They didn't think we could do it til they placed the spotlight
And saw the trail of fire blazing in-front of their eyes
Appertain to a dragon turned from darkness to light
Infinity on the horizon there's no end in sight
Cause with these wings on my back I'm able to fly
