They love their master
They're well behaved
Get exercise vet visits
They're always well looked after

And everybody knows
They're mans best friend
Treats them so much better
Than the wife and kids
Who never understand

Is it because the dogs can't talk back
Can't be two faced
He can lock them in the cage
He knows what they won't chase

Is it because the dogs don't waste his time
Wanting precious things
Don't go out on dates
Want a golden fetching ring

You can plainly see
They're made for one another
Mutual respect
Like children and a father

If only people acted like his own beloved pets
Birthdays anniversaries easy to forget
No one needing pieces of his life
No kid demanding

He loves his dogs
It's much easier for him
To meet his social needs
Without ever talking

Or sacrificing
Being part of something
Like the way people ought to be
Depend on extended family

He can lock those dogs away
He can have his master's say
They can't talk back anyway
Who cares what people say
It's safer this way

He loves his dogs
