Footsteps Poem

So life isn't fair
But does that mean you have to live by that rule?
I mean, subconsciously, we all know the right and wrong path
I mean, those are things given
In my mind, I vision two dirt roads
And both of them have footsteps

Well, of course, curiosity took control over me
And I dabbled a little towards the left
Where I saw the most footsteps
The path where only the unrighteous steps
And those that I encountered briefly
I learned from quickly
And removed myself immediately
For I knew that there was a better way
Now I'm on my first step to happiness
Pure sunshine is what I hope to find

I can now see a lot clearer
And my voice can now sing this song
I hope this don't lead you astray
Because if it does, then you might be on your last step
Before you fall endlessly away

Follow the right footsteps
Take the right way and you're sure to know
That the bridge you would have crossed
Was down a long time ago
