And I mean to me, this seems like a straightforward
Man, woman, small town, blue-collar anthem, just celebrating the people
And I wonder was there, maybe a particular place
That you had in mind when you were writing this song?
Or was it just about the faces that you see
When you look out into your crowds every night?
What inspired "Tough Town"?

A little bit of everything
You know, it's just the lot of the town we worked for, even when we play big cities
These people are-, a lot of 'em, not most of 'em
Are travelling from small towns like mine
So of course, it's about my hometown, and there is a hardware store in town
My papa used to hang out at all the time and they have pictures on the wall
In the old Crawford W. Long Pharmacy in town
Of what the city used to look like back then, and

Back then and now, it's just a group of hardworking people
So that's all just about the blood, sweat and tears that are
The towns we grow up in, and live in, and it's kinda that in a nutshell

I have a feeling that this one is gonna go over huge live when you play it in concert

Et pour moi, ma belle, cela semble être un hymne direct
homme, femme, petite ville, cols bleus, célébrant simplement les gens.
Et je me demande s'il y avait peut-être un endroit particulier
que tu avais en tête lorsque tu as écrit cette chanson ?
Ou était-ce simplement à propos des visages que tu vois
quand tu regardes ton public chaque soir ?
Qu'est-ce qui a inspiré "Tough Town" ?

Un peu de tout, ma chérie.
Tu sais, c'est le lot de la ville pour laquelle nous avons travaillé, même lorsque nous jouons dans les grandes villes.
Ces gens, beaucoup d'entre eux, pas la plupart d'entre eux,
viennent de petites villes comme la mienne.
Alors bien sûr, il s'agit de ma ville natale, et il y a une quincaillerie en ville
où mon grand-père avait l'habitude de traîner tout le temps, et ils ont des photos sur le mur
dans la vieille pharmacie Crawford W. Long en ville
de ce à quoi la ville ressemblait à l'époque, et

à l'époque et maintenant, c'est juste un groupe de gens qui travaillent dur.
Donc, tout cela concerne le sang, la sueur et les larmes qui sont
